What are the side effects of the flu vaccine?

Below is a list of some of the side effects of the flu vaccine:

  • Muscle aches
  • Drowsiness and Tiredness
  • Feeling generally unwell
  • Swelling, redness, and soreness, at the position of the injection

The only difference between these side effects and the actual flu infection symptoms is that they are milder. These side effects would normally clear up in less than 3 days and do not require any treatment.
